So with this extensive experience behind Jocelyn, she thought it was time for a new challenge. In 1998 she joined QAST (Queensland Association of School Tuckshops), and for a number of years she has held the role of Vice President. During this time Jocelyn also helped several schools bring their canteens up to a healthy and financially viable state. This new experience soon brought her to the conclusion that there was a real need for a specialist canteen management consultant, and she started her business. Since then Jocelyn has successfully worked with a broad range of canteens in primary and secondary schools, private and state schools, both small and large. One of her specialties is identifying problems with canteen management and procedural issues, and helping to solve them. Along the way Jocelyn has picked up some great ideas. Jocelyn has always been of the opinion that it is expedient to seek out other people’s ideas and expertise, and adjust that knowledge to suit her own needs. Her intention in this resource is to cover all aspects of conducting a healthy profitable theme day in a school canteen.
